P90x Workout: Plyometrics

Plyometrics is not part of the P90X Lean Routine. It is substituted by the lighter impact Cardio X routine. I tried Plyometrics just for kicks before I buckled down on the actual 90 day program and I failed miserably. That was actually part of the reason I chose to start with the Lean routine.
Again, I have never experienced a workout like this before. I was hurting after the first 20 minutes. Tony does admit at the beginning of the workout that Plyometrics is slightly higher impact and may not be for everyone. I quit halfway through the workout. Now however, after completing the P90X Lean Routine, to my surprise I successfully made it through the entire workout without completely gassing out! I took a few breaks but it didn’t break me like the first time I did it. This reassured me that I was experiencing results from the P90X exercise program.
So far, I haven’t experience any smoking or alcohol cravings either. Good stuff. Day 2 complete.
My P90X Diet
- Breakfast: 1 banana, 1 peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread, coffee
- Snack: strawberries, blueberries, celery, carrots
- Lunch: Italian tuna pasta (whole wheat pasta)
- Meal: foot long tuna sub on wheat bread (all veggies no cheese or dressing)
- Shake: Muscle Milk protein shake
- Dinner: baked chicken strips, blueberries, strawberries, spinach soup
