P90X Doubles Day 5

Due to work, ahem, yea that’s it… I skipped Chest & Back yesterday. HOWEVER, I totally made up for it today. This isn’t the first time I pulled an Iron Man and did two workouts in a day because of not staying on schedule. In my profession, November and December are typically slow months. For some reason because of the economy or whatever, this hasn’t been the case. Needless to say, I’ve been tied up at work and it has been affecting my mental attitude towards working out. This might not make me very popular but I did something I haven’t done since college… I took a fat burner.

I walked into Vitamin Shop and browsed the fat burner isle. Oddly enough, I have experimented with a number of the products still being sold on the shelf. I stuck with what works and purchased a 60 capsule container of Twin Labs Ripped Fuel Extreme. I’m not taking it for the sake of burning fat but for the focus and drive it seems to give you. I’ve learned my lesson and will use this sparingly… only when I just don’t feel like working out.

Within 15 minutes of taking 2 capsules, I felt the effects and knocked out Chest & Back, Ab Ripper X and Plyometrics. I don’t even feel tired right now. Maybe that’s why I’m writing this blog at 10:32 PM when I’m usually in bed by 9:00 PM. I know, that’s sad isn’t it. Taking fat burners has given me a bit of insomnia in the past but I plan on combating that with reading. That’s right folks, I am an avid reader of success literature. Tonight, my reading selection will be Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
