It’s been two weeks since I had completed P90X classic therefore two weeks since I had completed any kind of rigorous exercise. My ending weight after P90X Classic was 164 lbs. This is the lightest I have ever been since high school. Towards the end of P90X Classic, (much like P90X lean) things had become routine and much less of a chore. I took two weeks off because I knew what I was about to face in P90X doubles. When I first saw the different routines for P90X, I couldn’t even wrap my mind around doing doubles. The thought of doing 4 two a day workouts was inconceivable to me. After going through the P90X Classic then P90X Lean process, P90X doubles no longer seems like an unattainable goal. Cardio X is the first workout of the two a day workouts. It’s less the 50 minutes and is not very difficult.

Again, it was been two weeks since I had completed any kind of rigorous exercise. I am back to 180 lbs. Yes, there was quite a bit of drinking and fast food binging during these two weeks off. It goes to show that I do not have a naturally high metabolism! Chest & Back and Ab Ripper X was first up. I am SORE today. Tonight is Plyometrics and I am anxious to see how my body will respond to this after two weeks of sloth like living.

    Tony Q,

Thanks for your comment! That’s a good question. There really wasn’t one spcific phase or week where I lost a ton of fat around my belly. It pretty much came off gradually and proportionally. I have heard there is no real way to “spot check” specific parts of your body. Doing cardio and eating clean is the best way to lose fat. That makes sense. Eat more calories than you burn…gain weight. Burn more calories than you eat…lose weight. If you are starting to see good results (congratulations by way!) it’s best to stick with the plan. If you are more insterested in losing fat, you may want to consider the P90X lean routine. It offers more Cardio than P90X Classic. That’s the great thing about P90X is that it is a plan! Takes all the guess work out of working out. Regarding the hip situation, please see a doctor for that! Ab ribber X is pretty intense and you should do that modified options if you are hurting. Did this help? If not let me know and I will try another angle. Good luck Tony Q!

Julian, great job with the workout!!! Question for you. I have been doing p90x classic for 37 days now and have seen some results(useing fourth notch in belt, more definition in abs) I still have a gut, though it not huge. What week did you start to see the most gains/lose in the ab area? Also any other options to ab ripper? I have arthritic hips and it just destroys me!! Thanks!!
